It is understood that local Conservatives have received an official caution following an outburst of aggressive and unacceptable behaviour on the completion of last week’s Town by-election count.
While it is not known exactly who or how many, those in attendance at the count included the candidate, his family and election agent Councillor Rob Waltham as well as a top tier of North Lincolnshire Tories including Councillors Liz Redfern. John Briggs, John England, Neil Poole, Trevor Foster and David Robinson.
In politics you find yourself both on the winning and losing but nothing excuses ill mannered behaviour.
